February 12, 2019: Membership Tea

Our membership tea will be a British Tea inspired menu of three courses. The first course will be mini sandwiches of egg salad, cucumber and thin ham cut in quarters.   The second course will consist of scones to which you can add butter or the stiff whip cream. A true British tea would include what they call “clotted cream” but we will improvise! There were also be strawberry jam. The third course will be very small desserts including a thin sliced banana bread, a small lemon curd tart, and just because we can, something small in chocolate!

We will also have British black tea in hot water carafes. To drink as the British do you would add a little milk and perhaps sweetener. But if wish to drink it American style black with lemon we will have that also. Also available will be our usual coffee and non-British-based teas. We hope you will enjoy a soothing cup of tea with us as we talk all things Salvation Army!

Because we are just two days before Valentines we will have lovely red, pink and white flowers donated by Kroger’s on 377. Many thanks to DCBE for obliging us on our British menu and Krogers for the lovely flower arrangements on the tables.

March 12, 2019: “Charities on the Runway”

Our annual fundraiser which includes Silent and Live auction items plus a charity style show.  We pride ourselves that the only funds we receive are generated by our members, the community, and our fundraising events.  It is important to know that money raised stays in Hood County to help those in need.
